The Department of Communicative English in collaboration with the IIC Unit of the college conducted a national seminar titled “Building Up Innovative & Sustainable Business Models” on 17 June 2021. Dr. Saji Varghese, Associate Professor at the Christ University and founder of Sunbird Straws led the session, discussing about various stages of small scale business models that students can initiate at the college level. His talk was based on his personal experience as an academician turned entrepreneur, sharing stories on how he and his team scaled up to be recognized globally for their idea to create straws using coconut leaves.
