The Department of Zoology and the Department of Botany and Centre for Research of St. Teresa’s College organized a National seminar on Sustainable Human Settlement – Panel discussion and Q&A along with Swadeshi science movement (Swasraya Bharat) on 23rd November 2019 at 3 p.m. at the A V hall, Science block. Shri ChetanVaidya, former Director, SPA and National Institute of Urban Affairs, Shri Neel Mathews, Chief Engineer, GEVtec, Mahindra Electric, Team sustain, Kakkanad, Kochi and A L Gopakumar, Vice Chairman, IIA Kerala Chapter were the panelists. The programme began with a prayer song by Sarah Maria Shaji and Anna Sebastian of 1st DC followed by a welcome speech by Pooja S Krishna of 3rd DC. Later the speakers discussed about sustainable settlements and the need to follow a sustainable life style. The discussions by the speakers were thought provoking and informative. The vote of thanks was given by Aswathy A R, Association secretary, Department of Zoology. The programme concluded with National Anthem by Nithyashree J K, Sarah Maria Shaju and Aswathy A R.
