Mother Teresa of St. Rose of Lima Memorial National Seminar of “Innovations and Futuristic Practices in Business and Management” , brought together professionals, academics, and industry experts to explore emerging trends, cutting-edge technologies, and visionary strategies shaping the future of business. Held on January 19th, 2024, in part at the Seminar Hall in the Arts block and at the department of management studies, central block, the seminar aimed at providing a platform for knowledge exchange, insightful discussions, and collaborative thinking.
Session 1: Keynote Address – The seminar commenced with a compelling keynote address by Mrs. Revathi Hariharakrishnan, Group Director, Electronic Systems Group, ISRO, a distinguished expert in the field of Liquid propulsion and played a key role in the Chandrayaan mission.
Session 2 – A dedicated session delved into Innovation in agriculture and food technology. Presented by Prof.(Dr.) K P Sudheer, Professor & Head, Department of Agricultural Engineering, College of Agriculture, Vellanikkara.
Post Noon Sessions
The post noon sessions were designed to encourge participation from young budding innovators, representing the spirit of the new generation who are innovative, socially conscious, and unafraid to break barriers.
The first session started at 2pm, and was handled by four enterprising alumni of TOC H Engineering college, Abdul Rahiman Jasbeer, Asheen Afthab, Prithvi Ullas & Vishnu, they took the audience through their entrepreneurial journey of building a Precision Agriculture Drone, called DEMETR, that focused on enhancing crop health and yield, by disease identification and targeted pesticide application.
The second session was handled by yet another budding innovator, Adarsh, a student of KV Naval Base, Kochi, who is also a National Winner of RBVP (Rashtriya Bal Vaigyanik Pradarshani) 2023,
The Final speaker of the event was Mrs. Geethika Sudip, CEO of Resourcio, an entrepreneur and one of the few women CEO’s of Kerala. She comes with a diverse experience across industries, including content development & strategy, corporate communication & multi-media content creation.
