The department of mathematics and statistics organized a seminar about Mullaperiyar dam by the Save Kerala Brigade on 20th January 2023. The meeting was emceed by Julia Beril Sharon. The welcome speech was delivered by Anooja Paul. The speaker was Adv. Russell Joy, President of the organization Save Kerala Brigade. The speaker gave an insight on how much Tamil Nadu gains from the dam and how even our state governments were responsible for the current situation of the dam. He encouraged us as youths to come forward and voice our concerns. He mentioned the petition ‘Save Kerala From Mullaperiyar Dam Disaster’ and encouraged us to sign the same.
