A conversation with eminent author Manu S Pillai was conducted on 6th December 2021, Monday in the seminar hall, St Teresa’s college. Dr Latha Nair R was the host of the programme. Ms Athira Babu(Assistant Professor of the Department of English) and Ms Tessa Jose(Assistant Professor of the Department of English) were the coordinators. Dr Peethi Kumar (Assistant Prof. of the Department of English at St.Teresa’s) delivered the welcome address. Dr Latha Nair R and Mr Manu S Pillai engaged the public with vibrant and lively conversation about Mr Manu’s book False Allies: India’s Maharajahs in the Age of Ravi Varma. Mr Manu answered the various questions about his book. He said, “I do not romanticize writing and I do not believe that it is a divine art. It does not come to a person just like that one fine day, instead it takes a lot of effort and thought.” The audience were given an opportunity to share their thoughts and raise queries, making the session very interactive. The talk concluded with a book signing session.
