Activity Description (Brief) (maximum 100 words):
The competition was conducted on 12th July 2020 for the students of Department of Mathematics and Statistics. The students were asked to make a paper bag using eco-friendly and cost-effective materials and finished product were to be displayed clearly in a 30 sec video. A total of about 15 entries received from the department. The main aim behind the activity was to spread awareness about using paper bag instead of plastic to help reduce the plastic waste also to make eco-friendly paper bags from waste papers.
It promoted the importance of paper bags and made them realize that they can make attractive paper bags from waste papers.
