The Department of Psychology inaugurated the TAP TALK SERIES and “YOU MATTER”- Counseling and Student Wellness Center on 10th July 2019.
The TAP TALK SERIES is aimed for knowledge creation and knowledge dissemination in the field of Psychology and its allied areas by bringing in experts from the industry and academia for talks and training programs.
The Counseling and Student Wellness Center ‘You Matter ‘ has been initiated to provide free, short term and confidential counseling to students of St. Teresa’s College. The major aim is to help students meet their life goals and to help them cope with problems and life challenges.
The program was inaugurated by Dr Col. P. S.James, Director of Asian Business School, Thiruvananthapuram. Rev Dr Sr Vinitha, Director of St.Teresa’s College presided over the function. Dr Sajimol Augustine, Principal of St.Teresa’s College delivered the welcome address. Asst.Prof Bindu John, HOD of the Department of Psychology introduced the aims and objectives of the TAP TALK SERIES and “You Matter” counseling centre. Fr Jeen Felix, Director of Ashwas Counseling Center felicitated the occasion. The inaugural ceremony was attended by the students and faculty of B.Sc Psychology and BMS department.
