Inauguration: English Association 2019-20

The Department of English and Centre for Research organised its 62nd English Association Inauguration on the 21st of June, 2019 at the Platinum Jubilee Auditorium. Veteran Malayalam writer A. Sethumadhavan joined the crowd as the guest of honour. The association used the platform to launch their theme, Alphabet of Change, and its logo for this academic year. The thrust of the association activities this year is the promotion of inclusive thinking. Through this venture, the department aims to throw light on the many writers and artists who have been sidelined in the shadow of Shakespeare. The students also paid homage to renowned playwright Girish Karnad by enacting a scene from his play ‘Hayavadana’.
