Hawk-eye to Hawk’s eye – Career Orientation Programme

The Department of Mathematics and Statistics organised a Career Orientation Programme named ‘Hawk-eye to Hawk’s eye’ on 23 June 2023 led by the resource person Mr Arun J. Manattu – Research Scholar, Dept of  Mathematics, CUSAT. The welcome speech was given by Ms Doniya Jiju of 3rd Maths A and the programme commenced with an introduction to the application of Real Analysis. The programme focused on the various higher study options which can be opted for by a student who has a bachelor’s degree in mathematics all over India. Along with it, Mr Arun also familiarised the students with various entrance exams that can be written to get into these master’s degrees and gave recommendations on the top institutes to choose from. The programme concluded with the vote of thanks by the student coordinator Ms Aniya Rojen of 3rd Maths A.

The students got to know the vast higher study options to choose from after their graduation in mathematics. They were familiarised with various entrance exams they had to take for being eligible for higher studies.
