The Department of Psychology organized a visit to Signature Aged Care Hospice in Padamughal for the 2nd DC students on 31st August 2019 as part of our extension activities. The visit was organized to also drive home the values of generosity, compassion and kindheartedness. The students spent time initiating conversations with the elderly inmates, exchanging stories and developing a deep appreciation for life.
One faculty and 41 students visited the Aged Care Home and spent one full day interacting and spending time with the inmates of the home. The students organized a variety of entertainment programs for the old inmates and also served food to them. The time invested by the students for the elderly was refreshing in itself and offered them an undeniably meaningful experience.
