Department of French and Evergreen Tourism Club UG and PG students and teachers spent a wonderful morning walking in Fort Kochi on 18th of April 2022.
Accompanied by a great and engaging guide, Rajesh Sir (Freelance Kerala Tour guide), we walked in Fort Kochi for around 2 hours, discovering or re-discovering important places and monuments, with the sea on our side. We then met Sir Vishnuraj P., IAS officer, Sub Collector of Ernakulam District, for an interactive session about Fort Kochi heritage and Tourism perspectives. And, after this, the pleasure of refreshments, offered by Sir Sreejith, Field Officer, DTPC, Ernakulam Official.

For example: Saint Francis Church, in Fort Kochi (Fort Cochin), was originally built in 1503, is one of the oldest European churches in India and has great historical significance as a mute witness to the European colonial struggle in the subcontinent.
