Message from HOD

We, at the department of economics, aim at moulding empowered, empathetic and environmentally sensitive women economists. We offer courses in applied economics which will enhance a research aptitude for policy design and empower students to become potential leaders and scholars. Our Board of Studies, representing some of the best institutions such as IIT Madras, CDS Trivandrum, National Institute of Technology (NIT) Calicut, Ernst and Young have helped initiate changes in the pedagogy of teaching/ learning. The result is an increased focus on mathematical tools, application questions and an internal curriculum based on economic policy analysis. Our Programmes provide essential theoretical and practical training for pursuing career in economics and management fields.
