“Communication through Cinemas ” – Mr. Rajeev Ravi, film maker and ace photographer – 14th November, 2016

Renowned film maker and ace photographer Mr. Rajeev Ravi engaged the students in a discussion mode when he spoke to them on how cinema is a mode of communication to the society at large. Specially mentioning his most recent movie Kammatipadam, he discussed how the city of kochi has changed from the 1980s to today. Answering student questions, he shared his experience creating movies like “Annayum Rassoolum” and Oscar Nominated “Liars dice”. Addressing the students from a more managerial perspective, he said that he is not anti-development and that he is for an all-encompassing development where there is a more humane touch. He emphasized that the students, in their positions, should look forward to make the place they live a beautiful one where everyone is appreciated.
