In connection with the World Food Day celebrations, the Department of B.Voc Food Processing Technology organized a food fest on 15th October 2019 in the Arts Block at 11 am. On 2nd October 2019 the department conducted Fit India Plogging, a marathon which aimed in cleaning the city as a part of SWACHH BARATH. The students gathered at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Kaloor at 8 am and cleaned the surrounding of the stadium by collecting the waste in eco-friendly bags.
In connection with the World Coconut Day celebrations, B.Voc Food Processing Technology organised an intercollegiate Product development competition. The students made various innovative products with coconut such as Coconut snowball, Tender coconut mousse etc. Cash prizes and certificates were awarded to the students by expert judges.
