70th Anniversary and Alumini Meet 2K19

The Valedictory Function of the year long 70^th Anniversary Celebrations of The Department of Mathematics and Statistics and‘Hearts and Flowers’, the  Alumni meet 2019 of the Department was conducted on Friday,1st February , 2019. Dr. P B Vinod Kumar, Professor, Department of Basic Sciences and Humanities , Rajagiri School of Engineering and Technology was the Chief Guest of the same. The Chief Guest along with       Rev Sr. Emeline, Former Principal, St Teresa’s College,  Smt Mary Varghese, Former Faculty Member, Dept of Mathematics .Smt. Teresa Felitia former HOD and Smt Betty Joseph, HOD, Dept of Statistics lighted the lamp. The Chief Guest delivered the Inaugural Address and published the annual newsletter.  Smt Shanty B.P ,Asst Professor, Dept of Statistics welcomed the gathering and Ms. Bindhuja Menon proposed the Vote Of Thanks for the valedictory function .

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

On the same event the Post-Birthday celebration of Smt. Teresa Felitia was organised and refreshments were offered. In connection with 70^th year Anniversary Celebration various competitions were held and cash prizes were awarded to the winners. The various competitions include :

 

• Poster-Making Competition
• Still Model Competiton
• Working Model Competition

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

On the same day HEARTS and FLOWERS the Alumini Meet 2019 was conducted .Former students attended the gathering. A video presentation on the history of Mathematics Department and old memories of former batches added colour to the event. The official inaugural function concluded with the vote of thanks of Smt. Betty Joseph HOD of statistics department. It was followed by various cultural events hosted by the ongoing students of the department and experience sharing of former students. Refreshments were distributed.
