As part of creating awareness among students about ‘ROAD SAFETY’, a webinar was organized by the Mathematics Association and the session was led by Mr. Adarsh .S, Safety Driving Trainer, Honda safety driving education center of Calicut, on November 13, 2020. During his talk, Mr. Adarsh .S mentioned the importance of road safety .The session was hosted on Google Meet platform and had a participation of 60 students and faculty.
OUTCOME OF THE ACTIVITY
Right to life and safety is a fundamental right of any citizen. Road safety is something that has to be followed at all times to ensure the safety of the drivers, passengers and pedestrians. In fact, road traffic injuries are the leading cause of death among people aged between 15 and 29 years. The students got an overview of careless accidents and could understand the importance of road safety.
