Independence Day of India was celebrated by the people all over India on  15^th of August, 2017. This year in 2017, India celebrated its 71^stIndependence Day and paid tribute to the contributions made by all the freedom fighters to free India from the clutches of the British and make India Independent.

Music is the universal language of mankind and to stimulate the feel of patriotism among the students, the Department of Hindi of St. Teresa’s College organized a patriotic song competition on 16^th of August, 2017. This was held at both collegiate as well as Inter-collegiate level.Students were trained on a few patriotic songs in the National language and sang as a group.
