The Department of Commerce is enriched by 5 lecturers including 4 regular staff members and one part time lecturer in Law. Three members are Ph.D holders and one has registered for PhD. The Department offers Bachelor of Commerce degree, one of the most demanded courses of the contemporary academic world. Highly professional in nature, the course intends to provide a foundation for students who plan to pursue their career in business, commerce, accounting etc. The pass percentage for B.Com Degree Examination 2011-12 was 100%. The Department responded to the current needs of the society by conducting an inter-departmental Group Discussion on the topic 'Are Women Safe in India' and also took Initiative for Women Empowerment: ' Soumyam Nirbhayam', organized jointly with Kerala Police. The Department takes leadership in rendering services in the areas of remedial coaching, bank entrance coaching and career guidance of the college. The Department Journal"Teresian Journal of Management Research' is a platform for faculty and students to develop their academic interest.
