Kashi Women’s Project

12368982_10153450499862525_285747022247403840_nThe Department of Communicative English associated with Kashi Art Gallery, Fort Kochi on The Women’s Project. The project dealt with self expression through art practices where students worked closely with two women artists.  

The project was one of community building, psychological understanding, self expression and a study of visual art. As part of the project a number of sessions were held. The project began on 6 October 2015. Ms Olga Martin, a clinical psychologist from Spain held a self realization session with the students.

Mr. Chandradasan, the founder of Lokadharami Theatre Group and Mazhavillu, a children’s theatre group, based in Kochi, worked with the students and got them to present a Devised Theatre titled ‘But…’ at the Kashi Art Gallery. (14 Dec 2016 ). The students of the Department continue to be involved with the activities of the art gallery.
