As part of the Jubilee Project, “Women Empowerment and training”, the college decided to set up a Women’s Study Centre to offer job oriented courses and life skill development for women. In this connection two Post Graduate Diploma courses were initiated in the year 2002 and the courses were affiliated to Centre for Continuing Education, Govt. of Kerala in the year 2007. In the year 2006, the certificate course in Jewellery Designing was started ,which is affiliated to Centre for Continuing Education, Government of Kerala.
The faculties in the department are well qualified and competent and they are members in various academic bodies of Universities and Govt. bodies of Kerala. This helps the students to learn from their teacher’s experiences and thus enriching them with knowledge to tackle real life situations in the Industry. The faculties of the nutrition department give regular diet counseling to the needy which also helps their students to gain practical experiences.

PG PROGRAMME- MASTERS IN CLINICAL NUTRITION AND DIETETICS
In connection to the National Nutrition Week (1-7 September) the Department of Clinical Nutrition and Dietetics, Women's Study Centre conducted various intercollegiate competitions and a nutrition awareness talk on 5th September 2016 in collaboration wit State Nutrition Bureau.
Department has organized one day First Aid Awareness Talk on LIFE -SAVING FIRST AID(CPR) & TRAUMA FIRST -AID on 29th May 2016,with the resource person Dr.A.P.Varma,Faculty to Red Cross for St.John Ambulance First Aid Training since 1984,32 years of experience in training Lifesaving methods &CPR,Formerly Chief Occupational Health Physician to Adithya Birla Group,Prsently Occu.Health Physician to petronet LNG and Reliance Power Plant,Kochi, who is also a recipient of Kerala State Award for Best industrial Doctor.
